Just as 2016 closed down, reports emerged from China that ZTE will be attending the CES 2017 show where it will also unveil several new smartphones aimed at the U.S. market.
While not enough details have been showing up since then regarding this supposed ZTE smartphone apart from the facts that it will come with a dual-lens camera on the back and have a midrange price, we now have finer details regarding the handset.
Dubbed the ZTE Blade V8 was the first to show up among the several devices that ZTE wants to unveil at the CES 2017. The phone made an appearance at China’s TENAA and according to reports, it will be among the phones ZTE launches at the ongoing event. In addition to the V8 midranger, the Chinese OEM is also working on releasing a new ZTE Blade V8 Pro, which as the name suggests, is a superior version of the former.
If the latest rumors are to be believed, we’ll soon get to see a new ZTE Blade V8 Pro smartphone – a phone that should indeed come in with powerful specs. According to recent leaks, the Blade V8 Pro will ship with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen that is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 technology. Under the hood, expect a Snapdragon 625 processor that is clocked at a speed of 2.0GHz and is paired with a decent 3GB RAM. You get 32GB of storage with room for expanding it via a microSD card slot.
It is the camera of the ZTE Blade V8 Pro that will perhaps catch the eye of many suitors. The phone will ship with a dual-lens camera on the back – the first from ZTE to come with such a feature. The cameras will have two 13MP lenses that are supported by a dual-LED flash while the front will carry an 8MP snapper for selfies.
Powered by Android Marshmallow out of the box, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro will come in with a huge 3240mAh battery as well as support for 4G LTE connectivity. As for the pricing, the leak says that the Blade V8 Pro will be priced at about $230.
