Xiaomi has just released a new MIUI 8 global beta ROM that carries version number 7.6.15. As you may have noted already, this ROM is a beta version and not the stable one, so be careful when you jump on board.
Still, there are many Xiaomi users who are part of the MIUI 8 beta program and if you are one of them, you’ll relish the chance of using this new version on your device. The update is available for quite a good number of devices that include the high-end Xiaomi Mi Note, Mi Note 2, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi MIX as well as a bunch of other Mi and Redmi phones, including those from 2013 such as the Xiaomi Mi 3.
In the changelog, the tech giant has confirmed that the Xiaomi MIUI 8 global beta version 7.6.15 comes with 31 new themes as well as 10 new fonts that are specific for Indian users. If you have been experiencing issues with VoLTE calls, OTP messages, notification shade, backup issues, and a disappearing Google widget due to Dual apps, well, this is the update you can’t afford to miss.
There are also a bunch of other performance optimizations you’ll come across once you update to this new version.
In addition to the changelog, the company has also listed the download links for different devices and from the look of things, you’ll have to create some real storage space in order to get the new MIUI 8 global ROM installed on your Xiaomi phone.
You can hit the source link below to access the download link for your Xiaomi phone or simply wait for the OTA update, which shouldn’t take long to hit your device.
