Not so long ago, a Polish retailer listed two Sony Xperia devices with model numbers G8341 and G8441.
These two devices are rumored to be the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, which the Japanese tech giant will reportedly unveil at next month’s IFA 2017 in Berlin. According to the Polish website, the former will be priced at about $860 while the latter will come in priced at about $740.
The alleged Sony Xperia XZ1 had previously appeared on UAProf confirming that it will feature a Full HD display screen alongside Android 8.0 OS out of the box. While more details of this phone remain unknown, we have our eyes on what could be the specs of the Xperia XZ1 Compact thanks to AnTuTu benchmarks.
For starters, the same Android 8.0 will be running the show on this Sony Xperia G8441. Similar to previous cases with Xperia Compact models, the alleged Xperia XZ1 Compact will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that will be used on the high-end XZ1 alongside 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Even though the display size is not mentioned, the fact that this device has an HD resolution is enough to justify that this will indeed be the Xperia XZ1 Compact. In terms of cameras, the benchmarks confirm that the phone will feature 8MP lenses on both ends.
Other than these, the AnTuTu benchmarks don’t give out any further details of this supposed Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. But since the phone should be unveiled in a few weeks’ time, it won’t be long before clearer details show up.
