We recently saw leaked images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, basically confirming that the phone will ship with a curved dual-edge front and back panels.
Rumor has it that Samsung is planning to ditch the flatscreen design for its flagship Galaxy S8 handsets, meaning that both variants will have curved edges similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge and Note 7. As a result, we won’t be seeing the Edge name tag as it happened with the S6 and S7 series, instead, the Korean company will debut a new Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.
In the previous leaks, we saw just about every detail of the phone mentioned. However, most of what is currently out there regarding these phones is based on rumors. Nonetheless, it is not the first time such rumors about an upcoming device are all over and usually, some of these rumors, if not most, end up materializing. In this case, we should be able to see a lot of what notable leaker Evan Blass recently put forward in these images.
While we have seen talks of the design and hardware specs surface with respect to Samsung Galaxy S8, the closest the speculations got us to specs of the phone was the processor. Apparently, Samsung will pack two processor variants in the S8 – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 (unconfirmed). Initial reports have suggested that Samsung will pair these chipsets with a RAM of 4GB. It was also rumored that the base model of the S8 will come with 64GB of expandable storage and not 32GB as before.
Now, in a new leak, it appears that Samsung Galaxy S8 will get another high-end variant that ships with a huge 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Like its smaller counterpart, there still should be support for external storage. The same tipster, who has been getting his hands on lots of Samsung Galaxy S8 details lately, says that there won’t be an 8GB RAM, 256GB storage variant as some rumors claim.

Be warned that this source, who goes by the Twitter handle @mmddj_china, is not directly affiliated with Samsung and as such, he could also be wrong. But given that Samsung recently released its first 6GB RAM phone in the shape of Galaxy C9 Pro, it is possible that this same RAM capacity could also make its debut on the flagship S8.
Like any other unconfirmed report, take this one with a grain of salt, but from us, its fingers crossed. Hopefully, these rumors materialize!
