Samsung busy testing Chinese and International variants of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

In early January, a new leak emerged with details of the rumored Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and their model numbers for Chinese and international variants.

According to @mmddj_china, a tipster who has been causing waves in the smartphone world in recent days, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will ship with model numbers SM-G950 and SM-G955. Now, back then, the Chinese-based source came in with reports that the South Korean company had already started testing the two phones for Chinese and international models.

At the time, it was revealed that Chinese models of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus had been spotted with software version G9500ZCU0APLF and G9550ZCU0APLF, respectively. On the other hand, the same person claimed that the international variants being tested had software build numbers G950FXXU0APLH and G955FXXU0APLH for S8 and S8 Plus, respectively.

Now, in a new leak, the same person has emerged with more details of the two Samsung Galaxy S8 phones, saying that more tests are still ongoing. This is evident in the fact that the phones have been updated with new software builds. Where the Chinese variants are now running on version G9500ZCU0AQAJ and G9550ZCU0AQAJ for S8 and S8 Plus, the international variants are currently equipped with build numbers G950FXXU0AQAJ and G955FXXU0AQAJ, in the same order.

Not so long ago, Samsung released details of what happened to the Galaxy Note 7. During the same event, the company also announced its new measures with respect to ensuring that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus do not suffer the same fate as the Note 7. However, it did not mention a thing regarding the specs, features and the expected release date of the two phones.
