Oppo R11 and Oppo R11 Plus

A lot has been doing rounds in regards to the Oppo R11 and the Oppo R11 Plus, however, it’s just today that the duo has been unveiled in China.

In May, the two Oppo R11 phones appeared on TENAA, China’s certification body for smartphones and at the time, a number of core hardware specs and features were confirmed. A little over a week later, the Chinese OEM all but confirmed the launch of the phone to be June 10 and subsequently put up the Oppo R11 for pre-orders.

At the time, there was no word on whether the Oppo R11 Plus will accompany the R11, but now we know that this is the case. As per reports surfacing from China, the two phones will ship with a metallic unibody, just like it had been rumored. Also, the phones will be backed by some really impressive cameras, where the main shooter will pack a massive dual-lens setup of 20MP+16MP while the front has a huge 20MP lens for selfies.

Under the hood, the Oppo R11 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC that is paired with a RAM of 4GB. The storage capacity is capped at 64GB, but it can be expanded using a microSD card. To keep it alive is a 3000mAh battery unit that supports fast charging technology and for the display, you get a decent 5.5-inch Full HD panel that has protection from Corning’s Gorilla Glass.

On the other hand, the Oppo R11 Plus is a little bigger with a screen size of 6 inches, but the same Full HD resolution is used, which means you get less crispy views on this model compared to the standard R11. The processor on board is the same Snapdragon 660, but the RAM has been upped to a massive 6GB module.

With a bigger screen comes more power demands and as such, the Oppo R11 Plus has a bigger 4000mAh battery unit that also supports fast charging technology. Other specs remain the same for the two phones, including running Android Nougat out of the box, support for 4G LTE connectivity as well as a front-mounted fingerprint scanner.

At the moment, the Oppo R11 and R11 Plus have just been launched in China and availability will begin as from tomorrow. This is also true as far as the prices of the duo are concerned. As such, stay tuned and we’ll update you on the pricing details as well as the global availability of the phones.
