OnePlus 5 Slate Gray gets an 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant

OnePlus 5

When OnePlus 5 was unveiled about two months ago, the phone came in two color variants of Midnight Black and Slate Gray. Not so long ago, the Chinese OEM added a third – but limited – color variant dubbed Soft Gold.

Now, one major difference between the inaugural color variants was the storage and RAM options on board. Where the Slate Gray variant came with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the Midnight Black color variant gives users the high-end configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. When the Soft Gold color variant joined the party, OnePlus gave it the base configuration of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Now, to spice things up, the company has upped the game for fans of the Slate Gray variant. As at the time of this writing, you can grab the OnePlus 5 in this color variant yet carrying the high-end specs of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Similar to the pricing, which remains at $539, the rest of the specs of this phone are also unchanged.

This means you still get a OnePlus 5 phone that rocks a 5.5-inch AMOLED display screen with 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 835 SoC, a dual-lens 16MP+20MP camera on the back and a 16MP sensor on the front. The software is also the same – Android 7.1.1 Nougat – and so is the battery capacity at 3300mAh alongside support for fast charging via a USB-C port.
