After the first flash sale saw all units of the Nokia 6 sell out in just a matter of minutes, the company recently confirmed that it will be holding another flash sale tomorrow, Thursday, via the same platform.
When the phone was announced back at the CES 2017, it was only released to the Chinese market. The initial flash sale of Nokia 6 took place just about a week ago, but it was held in China. Similarly, the second flash sale will also be held in the same country through JD.com. But there is some good news for those who are looking forward to meeting this phone in their local markets.
According to a new report, the Nokia 6 will start selling in the Philippines as from tomorrow January 26. Unlike in China, this phone will be priced higher in this market, coming at PHP 18,590, which is about $375. The only major thing that is changing between this Philippines model and the Chinese variant that will be available via the flash sale is the color. Where the latter is covered in a black finish, the former comes with an all-new white finish.
In terms of specs, you get the same. These include a 5.5-inch Full HD display screen with a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass for protection, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The camera also remains the same – a 16MP primary lens with dual-LED flash and PDAF alongside an 8MP selfie camera. There is nothing to worry about LTE connectivity – it is supported. The battery unit on board won’t leave you stranded somewhere in the middle of the day – it is huge at 3000mAh.
With the Philippines now the second market to sell the Nokia 6, it is no longer a question of if, but when this phone will be coming to your local market. But don’t be surprised if it doesn’t reach all markets around the world – it also happens with other companies’ phones. Still, we’ll keep track of the matter and let you know when it will be released in other markets. Keep following us!
