It’s the year 2017 and strange enough, many are psyched up over the release of a brick-like phone that is nowhere near the revolutionary smartphone.
For starters, not so many would have seen this coming – that many would be excited over the reboot of the Nokia 3310. This phone was first launched in 2000 and given its huge popularity back in the days, there’s no doubt that it has managed to strike a massive sense of nostalgia in basically every mobile phone user. But the question that many will be asking is what does the Nokia 3310 bring to the table, exactly?
One thing you should know is that the Nokia 3310 is not a smartphone and doesn’t run on Android OS. However, you’ll be familiar with the design language used, but as expected, there are a few pretty touches here and there. First is the new, larger display screen that is also colored as opposed to the original model. In addition, the phone can be purchased in multiple color variants and even more interestingly is the fact that the popular Snake game is coming back, but this time it’s a more revamped version of the game. In fact, this game will also be available through Facebook Messenger, for those who are not yet buying the Nokia 3310 idea.
Like the original model, HMD Global says that the revamped Nokia 3310 has a battery that can last an entire month on a single charge when in standby mode and up to 22 hours of talk time. The classic Nokia ringtone is also on board and the back has a camera, but the details are yet to be disclosed. Apparently, there will be support for dual-SIM connectivity.
