In early June, Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 appeared on GFXBench with Android 7.0 Nougat, a confirmation that the phone was being tested for the OS ahead of release.
Now, another confirmation that the Galaxy J7 2016 will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat really soon has just appeared courtesy of a Wi-Fi Alliance listing. The phone has been cleared by the WFA, suggesting that it won’t be long before Nougat starts rolling out.
There are multiple variants of the phone that have been cleared, which also suggests that the update will be released in multiple markets at about the same time. The listed variants of the Galaxy J7 2016 include SM-J710K, SM-J710FQ, SM-J710MN, SM-J710FN/DS, SM-J710FN/DF, SM-J710F, SM-J710FN, SM-J710F/DS, SM-J710FN/DD, SM-J710MN/DS, SM-J710GN/DS, and SM-J710GN/DS.
Despite these listings on Wi-Fi Alliance, there’s no word on when exactly the Galaxy J7 2016 will receive the Nougat treat, but it shouldn’t be long.
