Early this month, the Lenovo K6 Power started receiving the update to Android 7.0 Nougat over the air. However, it wasn’t long before the Chinese OEM halted the update after many users started complaining of issues with the update.
When the company stopped the Nougat update for the Lenovo K6 Power, there’s was no specific word on when exactly this update would resume. But according to the latest statement from Lenovo India, the update has resumed rolling out and it’s coming in over the air. It appears that Lenovo has taken care of the problems that were affecting the initial rollout of the OS and now everything is in order.
In addition to the Lenovo K6 Power, the Nougat treat is also rolling out to the K6 Note, a phone that was also unveiled in late 2016 powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Similarly, the K6 Note is also receiving the Nougat update over the air, which means it might take some time before all units can actually download and install the OS.
If you haven’t seen the OTA notification on your Lenovo K6 Power or K6 Note, feel free to do a manual check via Settings>About phone, but make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to avoid any issues during the download and upgrade process. Also, keep your phone connected to a power source during the upgrade, unless the battery power is at least 50% at the time of commencing the process.
