Leaked Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus cases reveal S-Pen Cutouts

Samsung Galaxy S8

It was recently revealed that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be officially announced on March 29, but there will be a few handsets to be teased at the MWC 2017 event that begins on February 27.

While this revelation did not come from Samsung, it is not the only one that is pointing towards the launch of the phone in the coming weeks. There have been incidences of leaked cases meant for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as well as the full dimensions of the two phones. In fact, another report has gone ahead to give out the possible price of the phone, putting it at about $849.

In another developing story, it appears that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will come with support for the S-Pen, a feature that is synonymous with the Galaxy Note series. Since fans of this flagship series didn’t get time to enjoy the last model to be released, it seems Samsung wants to try and bring the same feeling to the new S8 series with an S-Pen.

The cases that are supposed meant for these two phones have cutouts that resemble what we have been seeing with cases meant for the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 4. While it is not new for such info to come out, what’s strange is that Samsung is also planning to have this feature on the standard S8, yet previous rumors had linked it with the S8 Plus. Nonetheless, the fact that Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly ship with a 5.7-inch curved screen similar to what the Galaxy Note 7 and the same size as what other Galaxy Note handsets have been coming with lately, it is possible that the OEM could come up with this kind of thinking.

As expected, the case also comes with cutouts for other features such as rear camera, LED flash (which has now shifted to the top of the sensor) as well as the charging port. Interestingly, the power and volume rocker buttons appear on the left-hand side of the cases, which is unusual for Sammy devices.

Be warned that these cases are not official from Samsung, but given their source, which is UK’s Mobile Fun, there should be some truth in this leak.
