The Oppo F1s is a self-proclaimed selfie expert and there’s no doubt that the phone does a great job when it comes to selfies.
What makes the Oppo F1s such a great companion when it comes to taking selfies is the 16MP sensor used on the front panel – a sensor that has also been supported by a myriad of software features that promise to deliver the best shots possible. Given the huge love for selfies in the Kenyan market, the upcoming Infinix S2 Pro is set to take on the Oppo F1s with a dual-lens selfie camera of its own, but the details of how this setup will work are still unknown.
So far, the Chinese company has already confirmed that the Infinix S2 Pro will ship with a dual 13MP+8MP camera setup on the front. We’ve seen cases where one lens works normally while the second comes in with support for wide-angle shots. It is possible that this could be the case especially looking at the #Selfie2Wefie tag that Infinix Mobility has been spreading around in leaks and teasers.
We don’t know much about the specs of the Infinix S2 Pro. However, previous leaks had suggested that the standard Infinix S2 will ship with a MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz and is paired with a 2GB RAM. Android Marshmallow has also been touted, but it would do us a favor if Android 7.0 Nougat came out of the box. As for the display, the Infinix S2 Pro will have a 5.2-inch HD panel, which is not bad at all, unless you love huge display panels of not less than 5.5 inches.

While having a dual-lens camera could be one of the major USPs for the Infinix S2 Pro, the quality of photos will have a lot to do with how Infinix Mobility plays around with the software. The company has already touted a feature known as Group Beautification, which is probably meant for capturing better group selfies, but we don’t really know the details of how these two lenses will cooperate to deliver the best photography.
Infinix S2 and S2 Pro will be launched at an event scheduled for April 10, so we should soon know how this dual-lens camera really works on this phone.
Infinix Mobility has just confirmed via its official Twitter account that the Infinix S2 Pro will ship with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. This makes perfect sense given that the standard edition is expected to come in with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, but you can expect a microSD card slot on both variants.
