Huawei P10 is expected to be announced in the coming months, probably in the second quarter of this year. As usual, there are lots of rumors, speculations, and leaks doing rounds with regards to this phone and what Huawei has in store.
Last year’s Huawei P9 was one of the company’s best-selling flagships, probably because of the fact that it came with a dual-lens LEICA camera on the back. This feature took off towards the end of 2016, with many OEMs joining the party, including Apple with the iPhone 7 Plus. Now, we don’t expect to see the Huawei P10 come without a dual-lens camera on the back. In fact, rumors are rife that the partnership with LEICA will go on, but there is a new discovery about this phone thanks to this latest leak.
As it is, the Huawei P10 will reportedly be changing the location of the fingerprint scanner. A leaked image of the phone has surfaced with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner missing, contrary to previous reports that have claimed the feature will be mounted on the home button.
The Huawei P9 had its fingerprint scanner on the back and so did the larger P9 Plus. However, if the latest leak is to be believed, the Chinese OEM may be lining up two different variants of the Huawei P10 where one has its fingerprint scanner on the front. It happened with the Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro, with the former having the feature on the back (possibly due to the huge 5.9-inch screen) while the latter (whose screen size is smaller at 5.5 inches) has the scanner mounted on the front panel.
Speaking of the front panel, Huawei P10 will be shipping with a curved 2K display screen on the front panel, but the sizes for the standard P10 and P10 Plus are yet to leak. Nonetheless, we expect the company to keep them at 5.2 inches and 5.5 inches, respectively.
This is just a rumor and as such, be careful not to get carried away with it. Keep following us and we’ll bring you the most up to date news on the same topic and many others.
