Huawei Honor V9 or Huawei Honor 8 Pro

Three days from now, the Huawei Honor V9 will be announced in China. While the availability of this phone is not yet known to the world, a new report just coming in says that the U.S. could meet this V9 phone with a different name.

If this report is to be believed, the Huawei Honor V9 will be baptized Honor 8 Pro here in the U.S. as well as a few other markets across the globe. This report comes from a Russian-based website and to mark the Honor V9’s global launch, the Chinese OEM will come to the MWC with this handset as the Honor 8 Pro.

The MWC 2017 will be happening on 27th of this month and Huawei will be in attendance among other companies. It had been confirmed that the Huawei P10 will be unveiled at this event, but the story of a Huawei Honor V9 or rather Huawei Honor 8 Pro are very fresh.

There are so far no specs confirmed for the alleged Huawei Honor 8 Pro. However, seeing the “Pro” moniker should indicate that this handset will be an enhanced version of the already magnificent Honor 8. There is talk of a 5.7-inch QHD display screen to match the one used on the Honor V8, but the latter had a 1080p resolution. A Kirin 960 SoC is touted alongside a RAM of 4GB or even 6GB. As for the storage, the Huawei Honor 8 Pro will ship with 64GB or 128GB of storage with room to expand it via a microSD card.

Last year’s Honor V8 had a dual-lens camera on the back and so should the new Honor V9. As for the front, there should be an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls. It looks like the battery will be huge a 3900mAh, but there is still no word on the price details.
