HTC U Ultra came to life in mid-January, but the phone has remained elusive in many markets so far, however, the wait is finally over.
If you reside in Australia, you can now preorder the HTC U Ultra as at the time of this writing. However, this can only be done via the country’s Vodafone carrier. This early availability will, later on, be followed by the official release of the phone in the market, which will happen next week Wednesday, the 8th of March.
Being a high-end phone, the HTC U Ultra can be purchased on a plan of up to 24 months, which will attract a monthly fee of AUD 88. This monthly fee includes AUD 8 for the phone and another AUD 80 for the carrier’s MyMix Red plan, which means you end up parting with a total of AUD 2,112 after the 24-month period – a massive $1,596.
Vodafone has a small discount for students looking to purchase the HTC U Ultra, handing them a 10% waiver on the access fee. However, make sure you select “Student” when picking your occupation, but you must further provide your student ID at checkout. Be warned that this offer will only last until April 11. The rest can also get a free 2 months access fees, but this will only last until May 9.
