Google Nexus 6P Deal: Grab an Unlocked Variant (64GB) for just $479.99

Google Nexus 6P

For those who enjoy the pure Android experience that comes with Google devices, well, the Nexus 6P (64GB) is now selling at a discount of $70.

If you can’t reach the heights set by the Google Pixel XL in terms of price, the Google Nexus 6P is a perfect alternative. The device still gives you access to timely software updates, runs on an uncompromised version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat (after an update) and has high-end hardware specs that came together with flagships launched in 2015.

The Google Pixel starts at $649 while the Pixel XL is valued at $769 (both are 32GB variants). With the Google Nexus 6P going for just $479.99, there couldn’t be a better time to get this phone than now. For starters, you get a better, larger 5.7-inch screen with QHD resolution when compared to the 5 inches and 5.5 inches on the Pixel phones. Even though the Pixel XL has the same resolution, it still loses out when it comes to display real estate.

Software-wise, the Nexus 6P has the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA (although it comes preinstalled with Android Marshmallow out of the box), just like its counterparts from Google. You get a 12.3MP shooter on the back of the phone alongside a fingerprint scanner while the front has an 8MP shooter. To keep the phone alive, there is a 3450mAh battery that is supported by fast charging technology via a USB-C port.

In terms of performance, the Google Nexus 6P has a Snapdragon 810 processor running the show. This is paired with a RAM of 3GB and as noted, the variant on offer has 64GB of non-expandable storage. Usually, B&H Photo would sell you this variant of the Nexus 6P at $549.99. A quick look at Amazon will also reveal that the retailer currently values this variant at $549.99. In short, it is only B&H that is currently saving you $70 for buying a new and unlocked Nexus 6P with 64GB of storage on board for $479.99.

To further sweeten the already sweet deal, B&H is also throwing in a free Xuma screen protector kit that usually costs $9.99. In addition, the fact that it is unlocked means you can use this Google Nexus 6P phone with any carrier, be it GSM or CDMA – that is, T-Mobile or Verizon.
