Xiaomi recently made its debut on the international stage via the just-ended CES 2017 event, but rather than grab the event by its neck, the Chinese OEM decided to take things slow, only launching the white variant of the borderless Mi MIX.
Before the headline-making Xiaomi Mi MIX came to life, the company had unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 5S, a successor to the Mi 5 that was unveiled at the MWC 2016 event. The phones are flagship handsets from the company, but they are less known in the west and Europe because the company has yet to break into these markets. Hopes were high that the CES 2017 will mark Xiaomi’s debut into these markets with some of its handsets, but this did not happen.
Still, this doesn’t mean that you can’t have any of Xiaomi’s flagship phones, more so the Xiaomi Mi 5S. The phone has some of the most amazing specs and features you can expect from a phone that is now selling at just $287.99.
For this amount, the Xiaomi Mi 5S offers a 5.15-inch Full HD display screen that manages a pixel density of 428ppi. An interesting bit about this screen is that it comes with an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner – something many OEMs will be trying to emulate this 2017, including Samsung. Under the hood, the Mi 5S packs the latest Snapdragon 821 processor that is paired with a RAM of 3GB. The version in question here has 64GB of expandable onboard storage, but there is still a high-end model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The Xiaomi MI 5S also comes with a USB-C port, a 3200mAh battery with support for fast charging technology. The back has a 12MP snapper with support for 4K video recording, PDAF and other flagship features
Geekbuying has the silver color variant on sale at the said $287.99, but this deal will not last forever. In fact, it is a flash sale that has just about five days before it ends.
