Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are expected to be launched at a special event in April 2017, but we may have just had our first look at what could be the official design of this phone.
There are many rumors that Samsung Galaxy S8 will come in with a completely new design language. In fact, it has already been claimed that the physical home button will no longer be in use, rather, the space it used to occupy will be replaced by the display screen. The scanner will reportedly be moved to the back, where it will share the same space with the camera.
If the latest reports that Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will be coming in with a dual-lens camera are to be believed, then what we are looking at here is the design of the standard Galaxy S8. The phone, unlike its counterpart, will ship with a single-lens camera setup on the back, but both handsets should come in with a dual-edge screen.
As it is, the standard Samsung Galaxy S8 should come with a larger screen size when compared to the Galaxy S7. Reports are rife that the removal of the physical home screen will shift the screen size from 5.1 inches to a massive 5.7 inches for the base model. As for the S8 Plus, the phone could debut with an even larger 6.2 inches, Nashville Chatter Class reports.
The latest development comes in the form of a Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge Olixar Ultra-Thin case that has been listed by Mobile Fun, but as we should know by now, Samsung will reportedly be dropping the Edge moniker this time since the pair will come with edge screens.
