OnePlus 3T may have already been replaced by the new and more powerful OnePlus 5, but the 2016 flagship killer is still one of the best phones on the market right now.
The kind of raw power the phone packs is not easy to bump into and now that Avechi, the exclusive seller of OnePlus phones in East Africa, has slammed a Ksh 6K discount on the phone makes the latest deal even more mouthwatering. Right now, you can grab the OnePlus 3T for a price of just Ksh 43,999, down from the usual Ksh 50,000.
For this price tag, you’ll be getting a phone that ships with a quality 5.5-inch AMOLED display screen boasting a 1080p resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, the OnePlus 3T has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset mated with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which cannot be expanded via a microSD card. This package will ensure anything you throw at the phone is handled effortlessly without any lags or hiccups you see on other phones.
The cameras are even much better with 16MP sensors on either end, but the one on the back has more features that include PDAF, OIS, dual-tone LED flash and 4K video recording. The front sensor shares the same f/2.0 aperture as the back lens, but you only get up to 1080p video recording.
To keep the OnePlus 3T alive is a decent 3400mAh battery that is charged via the latest USB-C port, which supports the company’s proprietary fast charging technology dubbed Dash Charge. The fingerprint scanner is front-mounted and you still get a 3.5mm audio jack.
In terms of software, the 3T has Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, but this can be updated right away to the newer Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The company has also promised to release Android O update to the 3T alongside the newer OnePlus 5 probably later this year.
With everything as it is, you can also opt for the high-end 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which has also received a discount from Ksh 57,499 to Ksh 52,999.
