Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be launched in the coming weeks or months for that matter and a lot has been flying around with regards to the flagship.
One notable leaker from China who goes by the Twitter handle @mmddj_china has been giving us some really interesting looks into both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as well as the foldable Samsung Galaxy X that should be coming out somewhere in Q3 or Q4 2017.
Now, in the latest leak, the tipster has come out with an image of the supposed Samsung Galaxy S8 with model number SM-G9500, which should be the unlocked variant for the Chinese market, according to past naming of Samsung Galaxy phones’ model numbers.

It was rumored that Samsung will skip model number SM-G940 and G945 for the two phones due to the associations with the number 4 that people of Asia have. As a result, it is possible that we could be having our first look at the model number of the standard Galaxy S8. The phone should come with Android OS, but there is no confirmation of the version in the leaked image.
Still, the person behind the tip goes ahead to state that he’s not sure about the leak, which could also mean something different. In short, this is just another rumor about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, so take it with a grain of salt.
With rumors that Samsung is prepping a few units of the Galaxy S8 in readiness for the upcoming MWC 2017 event, is it possible that this could indeed be one of the reference models? Please share your views in the comments below.
