Although we’ve already seen what HDM Global is capable of thanks to the Nokia 6, the Mobile World Congress 2017 will be here in about two weeks’ time and so far, the company, which is the current owner of the Nokia brand, has already confirmed its attendance.
HMD Global is the Finnish company that came to Nokia’s rescue and so far, it is doing great after the initial launch of the Nokia 6 back at the CES 2017. Now, at the upcoming MWC show, HMD is set to re-launch the Nokia 6 alongside a variety of other devices that are targeting the low-end market. The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are the devices in question and like their counterpart, they’ll be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Since its launch, the Nokia 6 has remained exclusive to the Chinese market, although recent reports have claimed that the phone is getting ready for a global launch. As if to back up this claim, the latest report says that this phone will be joining the new models at the MWC. Where the 6 ships with a screen size of 5.5 inches with 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 430 SoC, 4GB RAM and a 16MP main camera, the Nokia 5 comes in with a smaller 5.2-inch 720p screen, the same Snapdragon 430 SoC, 2GB RAM and a 12MP shooter on the back.

So far, the specs of the Nokia 3 remain unknown, but the phone will reportedly be based on Android 7.0 Nougat and priced at 149 euros. As for the Nokia 5, it will set you back 199 euros. As you can see, these price details are meant for the European region. Details of availability in the U.S. and other markets remain scarce, but we should know in a couple of weeks.
Interestingly, HMD has decided to pay a special homage to one of the most popular brick phones ever – the Nokia 3310. The phone was best known for its long battery life and durability and even though not much is known about, it will reportedly be valued at 59 euros, which is about $62.
HMD Global will be at the MWC 2017 show in Barcelona, which kicks off on February 27. Stay tuned and we’ll update you with more details.
